FILLING in the gap left by the Provincial Government's inability to fully serve the Boholanos health and medical services, the Bohol Philippines International Association of Hongkong (BPIA-HK) headed by Astrellita Balatero and the provincial government through the leadership of Gov. Erico Aumentado bring to Bohol a medical mission this month. Fancy S. Baluyot, Bohol consultant on heath and social services said ten towns get to benefit from this mission timed with the Tigum Bol-anon Tibuok Kalibutan (TBTK) and Bohol Day celebrations. To benefit in the mission are patients from Alburquerque, Baclayon on July 17; Dauis and Panglao on July 18; Alicia on July 19 and Garcia-Hernandez July 20. On lujy 21, the mission goes to Bilar and Loon while Tagbilaran City Loboc would be served, July 22. The activity is also supported by the Bohol Sandguo Foundation, Inc. headed by its Chairman, City Mayor Dan Ned Lim and Executive Director Loreto Palapos. Mission physicians and municipal health officers thru Dr. Arnold Cagulada with the League of Municipalities of the Philippines sponsored doctors would conduct free medical consultations, give medicines and vitamins. The provincial government has promised to secure mission personnel, tender a welcome reception and recognition night on July 22 and provide vehicles to and from the mission venues. The municipal governments were earlier requested to take charge of the physical set up of the venue, meals and snacks for the volunteers and nurses. Provincial Administrator - Atty. Tomas D. Abapo, Jr. led the mission committee of this noble undertaking. BPIA-HK takes care of the mission members' airfare, hotel accommodations, meals, and medicines and vitamins for the mission. In this light, Governor Aumentado has this early, extended his utmost gratitude to OFWs who still find the time in sharing their blessings by spearheading the mission. Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Reymoses Cabagnot with his assistant Dr. Greg Sodusta has already advised residents to see their municipal health officers for details and listing. |
