By:

ANTICIPATING the hordes to crow the city's main thoroughfares to witness the Sandugo Street Dancing, the Tagbilaran City Police has set a traffic rerouting scheme to avoid traffic congestion on July 23, 2006. North and Interior vehicles bound for the Integrated Bus Terminal and Central Market and those plying downtown routes via Dao-Corella Road must take a left turn at Sitio Lanao. Those coming from the North and public utility vehicles plying within 32 km from the city may proceed downtown area via CPG North Avenue but could only go as far as Belderol Street only. Vehicles coming from ICM/IBT/Central Market Complex bound for downtown area must take the Binayran-Dampas Road towards LTO and or CPG East Avenue . Vehicles from the east and Interior Area along with Panglao Island via Borja Bridge may proceed to downtown area via CPG East Avenue up to Mendoza Street only. Another option is for them to take the V.P. Inting Avenue Route, V.P. Inting Avenue (from J.A. Clarin to Del Rosario Street) and Sarmiento Street, which will be declared two-way streets during the Street Dancing. Vehicles coming from Dauis/Panglao Island via Suarez Bridge (causeway) bound for downtown area or ICM/IBT Complex must take the Gallares Street and V.P. Inting Avenue , respectively. However, vehicles will be allowed to cross the CPG Avenue (from Belderol Street to J.A. Clarin Street ) and J.A. Clarin Street (from CPG Avenue to Sikatuna Avenue) before the start of the Street Dancing. |
