Battle of the bands set

EXPRESSING selves in music, the hip teen-age creative refuge gets a prime as “San Miguel Beer…Ang Beer Na Walang Katulad” with Save ‘N Earn Wireless stages this year's “Battle of the Original Compositions” with songs depicting Boholano culture, arts, values and tourism.

The showdown featuring 24 homegrown bands and talents will be held July 16-22 at the Tagbilaran Tourist Port. The grand finals is on July 23 at the CPG Sports Complex with Manila 's popular alternative band, Pupil Band (Ely Buendia formerly of Eraserheads).

Confirmed Boholano bands joining the competition are: Lucid Interval, Suitcase 101, Brown Buds…Mendel's Legacy, Extrangero, No Pets Allowed, 20 SomeThinG, Quad, Young South, Unwanted Revenge, Side Kast, Nutshell, 6300 Crew, Roasted Jelly Fish, Essence, Anti-Gigoloz, Solido, Section 13, IF, Zigmantra, Forgotten Failure, Gurrhg, Chords, Munchkins and Blank Item
