TRANSFORMED BY GOD!

James 4:7-8 &10 “Submit yourselves, then to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners and purify your hearts, you double minded. Humble yourselves before the Lord and He will lift you up.”

By: Mr. Kenneth L.Tagactac

I am Mr. Kenneth L.Tagactac of Tiguis,Lila , Bohol . I will praise the Lord Jesus for great things He has done to my life. He forgives all my iniquities, accepted me and renews my life completely. I give Him thanks that He calls me to be one of His chosen children and He bestowed to me the gift of faith.

At age 17, I learned to use drugs associated with smoking and drinking liquor. I used “shabu” and I let our fighting cocks joined me in sniffing such drugs. Every time I got high on drugs, I become active in doing household chores. I wash the clothes and clean all over the house. But by the time the spirit of the drugs lapsed, I become violent and wild. I broke our windows and glasses. I hit other people. My addiction grew worse to the point that I will steal money from my mother's pocket to buy “shabu”. I stopped my studies in college and I became a black sheep in our family. I was totally drug dependent for 5 years until such time that I found a girlfriend who is a member of Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement. September 2005,she invited me to join the prayer meeting in their place. Afraid that she might break me, I attended the prayer but I stayed outside the prayer meeting area. I just listened to their prayer and songs. One day, during the prayer meeting, the daughter of “ate Gemma, the leader of the group got sick of fever and had convulsion. I observed that no medications were given. They sung praises song, prayed to Jesus and read the bible. After 30 minutes the child healed and was playing. I overwhelmed in amazement. I told myself that it was true. God is still doing miracles until at present. I've seen it before my very own eyes. In that particular time I receive the give of faith. I continued attending prayer meeting and went to other barrios serving the Lord. I witnessed that those people we supported for prayer were healed. I learned to trust the Lord. I found happiness in serving God. After one week, I just noticed that I turned way all my vices even drugs. I myself can hardly believe that I made a sudden change. My parents, friends, neighbors and relatives were amazed that I'm now in the service of the Lord. It is only the grace of the Lord Jesus that renewed and transformed my life.

'm happy to declare that at this moment of time, Jesus totally delivers me from the bondage of drug addiction & other vices. I am inspired to share this testimony to others to let them know that the best rehabilitation for drug addict is DRAWING NEAR TO JESUS. We knew the fact that a lot of families are experiencing same problem. I'm confident to say that Jesus promises beautiful change and total renewal. Only Jesus can do all things. “Nothing is impossible with God” Luke 1:37. I am very much thankful to Jesus for the gift of faith he bestowed and for calling me to serve Him. Thank you also to the management of Sunday Post for the opportunity of spreading good news to others. Glory to God, Alleluia! Amen.
