Talibon PhilHealth Celebrates 5th year |
AS Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) turns 12 this year, it too celebrates five years of service in this progressive town north of Bohol , February 14. And to celebrate the five long years of dedicated service here and other neighboring towns, PhilHealth personnel marked the day with a holy mass officiated by Fr. Mario Ombao. With the big day considered a milestone by local PhilHealth authorities had municipal employees also attending the rites and partook the food preparations. Such a gathering is also to mark its services here. PhilHealth services include collection of premium payments from its members, members' registration to programs as employed, individually paying, non paying, Overseas Workers Program (OWP) and sponsored program. With its services extended to 24 towns: Alicia, Anda, Bien Unido, Buenavista, Candijay, Carlos Garcia, Carmen, Clarin, Dagohoy, Danao, Duero, Guindulman, Inabanga, Jagna, Getafe, Mabini, Pilar, Sagbayan, San Miguel, Sierra Bullones, Trinidad, Tubigon and Ubay, PhilHealth Talibon is strategically located. It may be recalled that PhilHealth was created under the Republic Act No. 7875, which was passed into law last Feb. 14, 1995. It started operating its office in Talibon after the signing of MOA between LGU Talibon and PhilHealth. |
