THE GOD OF ALL COMFORT

“And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”

By: MELANDRO DINOY

I am Melandro Dinoy of La Esperanza, Dagohoy, Bohol . I want to give glory and praise to the Lord for His miraculous deeds. I want to give Him thanks for the gift of faith and healing my diseases.

Year 2003, I came in Lomanoy, Lila, Bohol to have a small business. I engaged in a buy and sell business. I stayed at my friend's house until at present. September 2006, I got sick of typhoid fever. I went to the doctor and I took medications. The fever was on and off. After taking my medicines, my fever goes down but soars back after one hour. The fever lasted already for two weeks. I became so weak and pale. One day, I decided to go home to with family in Dagohoy as nobody could attend to me in Lomanoy. Besides, I also planned to go to a “quack doctor” in Carmen.

Then I went to Sis Gemma's house. My girlfriend then was their helper. I asked her permission to allow me to bring along my girlfriend home to Dagohoy. I told her that I was sick and I was planning to go to Carmen to look for a quack doctor or “manambalan”. Sis Gemma told me to pray and accept Jesus as my savior. She told me that a quack doctor will not heal me instead it will bring more sorrows and sickness if I will go and submit to other gods. She said that, it is better to pray and she further testified that faith and prayer healed her family and neighbors. She also testified that going to a quack doctor does not heal any diseases basing on their experiences. Those who were healed through prayers mostly became serious when they came to quack doctors.

Despite her testimonies, I insisted to push through to Carmen. At that time, I never believed in prayer even though I heard it a year ago that in Lomanoy, a lot of people were healed. we prepared to leave for Carmen and to Dagohoy but before we left, Sis. Gemma told us that we should pray first for safe travel and for me to gain strength for I was so weak. We prayed. During the prayer, I vomited and perspired a lot. Then we went home. While on

the way home, I decided not to push through my plan of going to the quack doctor. We went back to the prayer meeting and that night I joined the prayer. There, I decided to accept Jesus and believe in Him. By just one night prayer my fever was completely healed. Praise the Lord! Jesus gives me total healing and saved me from sin.(“Specially in believing in quack doctors.”)

Then one week after, I went home to Dagohoy with my girlfriend to arrange the date of our marriage. It happened that the nephew of my girlfriend had diarrhea and stomach ache. We told them to accept Jesus and pray. I and my girlfriend led the prayer. We read the bible and we both testified that I was a living witness that Jesus heals. After the prayer, the two year old child was completely healed and his family received the gift of faith.

Last November2006, before our marriage day, my girlfriend and me got sick of diarrhea. We totally submitted to God. We joined together in prayer and read the bible. Our family, friends and neighbors witnessed how God healed us by His words alone and that day that we were healed. His name was glorified and proclaimed! We are very happy that God used us as instruments to proclaim His wonderful acts in our place. I give thanks to Jesus for he allowed the permit to happen to me for I found Him and now I'm in the grace of faith and service to Him. Thank you also to Sunday Post for the chance of sharing this good news to others. Glory, Glory to God! Alleluiah! Amen!
