Girl, 13, raped by 70-year-old lolo

A teenage girl has accused her own grandfather of raping her early this year in Getafe town. The victim, accompanied by her own mother, identified her own grandfather as the one who raped her last April 10. The suspect was identified as her own septuagenarian grandfather residing in the said town. In compliance with editorial policies, the name of the suspect and his address are being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

The complaint did not state if the suspect was the victim's paternal or maternal grandfather. Reports reaching Camp Dagohoy revealed that while the incident took place six months ago, the alleged rape was reported only last Nov. 27. It was not immediately known if the girl had been threatened by the suspect which could have been the reason for the delay.

There was also no mention on when the girl's mother actually learned of the crime.  According to the complaint, the girl was raped by her 70-year-old grandfather about 10 pm right inside their own residence. The suspect is now facing the complaint for incestuous rape filed before the Provincial Prosecutor's Office.
