The prettiest face in Bohol and even in the county! Daughter of MS HillPark Financing Corporation's Alfons and Mildred Kascher of Tubigon town, debutant Vanessa Loraña Kascher bade farewell to petite sweet life as teenager and embraced the challenging life as an adult in a celebration at the Sandugo Grand Ballroom a week ago. Such a celebration deserved a second journal! We at ‘bout U! were fascinated not only of the pretty face but the adorable character of Vanessa who grew up in the love and care of her family.

Having spent her childhood years in Germany and her high school years up to the present, spent in Tubigon town, Bohol , Philippines , Vanessa never lost a trace of a Filipino! Being provided so much by her parents, Vanessa grew to become a responsible, sensitive, flexible, amiable hearted…a desirable person. Aside from her achievements in school, having excelled in her class and consistently landed on the dean's list, Vanessa shine's in the hearts of the people whom she had interacted with. During the program at debut party, it was obvious that so many people cared a lot for Vanessa. Her family, friends and teachers in high school were present and even shared warm thoughts for her. Rev. Fr. Val Pinlac gave Vanessa a insightful message that inculcated the value for life. Fr. Val's account on how Vanessa grew up was a heartwarming experience that led to his words of wisdom for Vanessa. The video presentation about Vanessa was a brief moment that somehow shortcut the passing of time and eventually acquainted me to debutant. Fashion designer Henry Baron, being a family friend of the Kascher shared so much about Vanessa's desirable qualities, “She is humble and she doesn't complain even if we practice for quite a long time…She's a fast learner. I remember when I trained for Miss BACS [Bohol Association of Catholic Schools] she has a natural grace. She easily absorbed my teachings. It wasn't a wonder when Vanessa carried the gown with grace and poise.”

A glimpse at Vanessa

‘bout U! had a moment with Vanessa. In that brief moment, we saw a charming person with fun-loving personality—a real beauty inside and out! Here is our interview:

‘bout U!: What are your happy memories in Germany ?

Vanessa: My happy memories in Germany are the happy times I had with my friends like roaming around and having sleepovers…I miss my friends in Germany so much and its proven that they are really true friends coz they never lost touch.

‘bout U!: What are the things you love about Bohol ?

Vanessa: What I like in Bohol is the people and the environment. I love Bohol coz its green and it has a lot of nice tourist spots and resorts.

‘bout U!: Which do you prefer, to live in Germany or Bohol ?

Vanessa: I've spent half of my life in Germany and the other half in Bohol . I have grown to love both places and both cultures. Germany and Bohol are equal in my heart

The gown that the princess wore

Henry designed Vanessa's gown with full awareness of who Vanessa is—her positive attitude in life, her competent spirit, her humility and flexibility in dealing with people and her inner charm. On the night of party, Vanessa was the star! She wore Henry Baron's fondant gown that is designed to define Vanessa's beauty and character as a princess. Made of sister's layering skirt with ensembled fuchsia pink flowerettes and gems in Spanish organdy material combined with Italian silk in busterred corseted long torso princess cut to exaggerate the debuntant's perfect body, being highlighted with Swarovsky crystals and beads scattered on her fondant gown. To complement the elegance and charm of the princess, the 18 candles wore Henry Baron's semi-bias cut corseted busterred blouse and skirt ensembled with turquoise extended ribbon in strong fuchsia pink color with scattered beads and gems. Meanwhile, the 18 roses wore an basic American suit in men's apparel.

Jewelries those of a princess

Vanessa looked super stunning with the set of jewelries courtesy of Owen of Quimson Jewelry and Pawnshop. The jewelry set completes the princess with the gems and the price that exhibited how precious Vanessa is to her mom and dad and of course to the people who loved her so much. The jewelry set is designed by Owen himself, complete with a pair of dangling Rosita designed earrings and bangle (bracelet). Plus the eye-catching chocker crested with tapered round, clear and white diamonds affixed on a bed of white gold. Vanessa's pretty countenance and graceful bearing gave justice, and even enhanced the value of the jewelry set of 8.72 karats tapered diamonds, 7.84 karats of round diamonds and 14 karats white gold appraised by Owen at eye pooping price of more than half-a-million pesos—P580,000.00 to be exact!

Vanessa is thankful to the people who have made her special night successful. She extends her special thanks to: her 18 roses and 18 candles; the cute ring bearer King James Gablines and parents Bernard and Edna Gablines; crown bear Shayne Jewel C.
