Our e-mail last week was a recipient of a letter purportedly coming from a true Boholano. Whoever this guy is, we already have an idea of his game plan. His beef was that many people ( that means they are reading our paper) have commented why we were so agog in our banner headline last Sunday regarding the story of a contractor bagging four projects without benefit of an open and competitive bidding. Mind you, it was an exclusive story and we are proud of that. He also made mention how we tried to shout at the top of our lungs over our radio program over Station DYTR regarding the anomalous contracts. What drove our goat was the insinuation that we were not motivated by public service in making a banner story out of the transaction but what we want was to have a piece of the loot, if there's any.

Then he went on with the main gist of his thesis. Why not send a complaint with the COA and the Ombudsman, the Senate and the Presidential Anti-Graft Commission in order to ferret out the culprits who are behind the anomalous deal. And then he said: we hope that there will be no silence in the next week or months or the matter will not turn to oblivion with no complaint filed or investigation made. The people knows (sic) that envelope can silence the loudest voice. Well said. But in the meantime, this BGLante will reserve his right to comment on this guy's insinuations. After all, we still believe that a fish is caught in the mouth.

Anyway, we will accept your challenge without fear even if you are fake or not. But before this Bglante plunges into your trap, if you are man enough, don't you think it is prudent on your part if you join me in our complaint. For your information, running away from a good fight is not my cup of tea. That explains why the Sunday Post survived all these years because it fights for the rights of the public. If you think that we can put up a good fight against grafters in the government, then join me in this crusade. If you are just testing me if indeed this Bglante has intestinal fortitude to deal with someone who hides under the cloak of anonymity, you are dead wrong. Therefore, if you want to make a deal with this Bglante, I give you until 9:00 AM tomorrow to show up, identify yourself and that you are joining me in filing a complaint against those behind the road scam perpetrated in the third district. If you turn out to be a hoax, at least this Bglante will still have 30 minutes to expose you for what you are. For your information I already have an idea who is behind this poison letter.
