2 disposed fetuses found days after each other

Two fetuses were discovered days after each other in Tagbilaran City that has alarmed a predominantly conservative community. The most recent discover of a fetus was in a spot a stone's throw from the Bohol Museum. t was found on the corner of F. Rocha and Hontanosas streets about 12 noon last Oct. 29. The fetus was pitifully placed inside a plastic container and was about to be dragged away by a stray dog from the trash can that was placed in the area. According to SPO3 David Niluag, Tagbilaran PNP crime investigator, the fetus was submitted to the City Health Office for examination. Niluag added that according to the test conducted by Dr. Antonio Porticos, the fetus was a baby girl estimated to be about five months old.

The police investigator said that according to estimates made by health authorities, the fetus was probably aborted by the heartless mother at dawn of the same day. The discovery of the fetus last Sunday came a few days after another fetus was found in another place. A gardener made the startling discovery while he was working on the flower garden along Espuelas street. The gardener said he was digging in the garden when he struck a bottle that was buried on the shallow soil. After hearing the sound of the bottle shattered into pieces, the gardener looked closely and discovered to his horror that the bottle of a popular energy drink contained not its famous liquid but a fetus.

Police investigators are still looking into the two incidents to determine not only the identities of the mothers who aborted them but also about the possibility that an abortionist was involved in both instances. Last month, a baby girl was found after it was abandoned in a grassy portion near the Habitat village in Bool. The baby was discovered by Romeo Dagoldol who heard the baby cry and went over to the spot where he heard the cry. Dagolgol owned the piece of land where the baby was abandoned. The Tagbilaran PNP revealed that the baby's mother surrendered a few days later but her identity was withheld pending the filing of formal charges against her.
