Bohol tourism continues to flourish

By: Manuel Ferdinand Ramirez de Erio

Bohol has indeed come a very long way when it comes to tourism and tourist attractions. In recent years, new establishments like resorts, health spas, pension houses, restaurants and hotels have sprung like mushrooms all over the province. It seems that not a month passes by that no new business is opened. More and more businessmen now see Bohol Province as one of the best money-making places in the country, if not in the whole of Southeast Asia . Just recently, two more resorts are being built and when they're finished, would surely add to the already colorful and profitable business circle. These are the Grand Heritage Sunset View Resort in Doljo, Panglao; and, the Bohol Coconut Palm Resort in Laya, Baclayon.

The Grand Heritage Sunset View Resort has a total land area of 10,000 sq.m. It has 5 buildings with a total of 25 rooms which are fully air-conditioned. The resort has 3 kinds of swimming pools to cater to its patrons: a lawn pool which is surrounded by a sprawling and beautiful lawn; a wedding pool, so-called because its special use is for blissful newly-weds; and the main pool, which is of course, open to everybody who wants to get a taste of the sun and ease their tense muscles. If their tight schedule would permit, the owners would like to open the place to the public on the 15th of October.

Meanwhile, another fabulous resort which is under construction is the Bohol Coconut Palm Resort which is strategically located right beside the National Highway in Laya, Baclayon. It has a total land area of one hectare with 20 spacious and air-conditioned rooms. The resort has 2 swimming pools: one for kids and one for adults. And when you already had your fill of swimming, you could have a sumptuous meal at their restaurant which has a wide variety of native and oriental menu. Through the years, Bohol has indeed come a long way when it comes to tourism. So, the next time that you and your family would want to have a taste of a relaxing and carefree life, you better try the Grand Heritage Sunset View Resort in Doljo, Panglao; or the Bohol Coconut Palm Resort in Laya, Baclayon. It really is a good life!
