To God Be The Glory

Proverbs 3:1-6, “My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep My commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity. Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart, then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight”.

I am Mrs. Gemma B. Tagab of Lomanoy, Lila, Bohol . I want to praise and glorify the name of Jesus for the gift of faith and healing of my body and soul. In September 2000, I suffered from daily bleeding. It started when I submitted for an injectable contraceptive. The daily bleeding lasted for 1 ½ years. By January 2001, my doctor recommended for an early operation. My husband hesitated and urged me to ask for a second opinion in Cebu . February 2001, I went to Cebu for check-up. A day before I went to Cebu , my sister who was a member of the Charismatic Renewal Movement shared to me that prayer is the best medicine and asked me if it was alright for me if she will invite the Healing Ministry of the Charismatic Renewal Movement for a healing prayer. I hesitated to accept the offer because I was a born again protestant and an active leader of the youth throughout Bohol .

My brother also got angry, why should I entertain prayer from other sect. I prayed and asked Jesus to enlighten my mind and after the prayer, I changed my mind and accepted the prayer. I never thought of religion or a group. I thought that Jesus came to me and I should listen His words. We gathered for prayer at 11MN and ended at 2 dawn. Then I went to Cebu for thorough check-up. The doctor was amazed since the findings were all negative. At that time I didn't credit it as a miracle. I thought it was a wrong diagnosis. After several months the bleeding stopped and I was healed. Since, I was a protestant and married to a catholic most of our quarrel was our religion. I had no peace of mind and I was troubled. I prayed to Jesus where to go and what to do. Thanks to God, He sent me an angel, my friend, Mrs. Ester Morala, a Charismatic member who shared to me that Jesus is a miraculous God, and until now Jesus is still healing the sick people, by His words because she herself and her family experienced healing by His words alone. I was amazed, I thought catholics are just worshipping idols as what I've learned. God allowed trials, my son got sick of fever. Before, my first move was to go immediately to the hospital but since I heard the good news of healing from my friend, I tried what she said, I never went to the hospital but instead I went for a pray over and really God is faithful to His promise my son experienced miracle.

He was totally healed after 2 days of prayer and listening to the words of God without any medicine but only the word of God as said in Proverbs 4:22. Starting from that day, I invited the Healing Ministry to conduct (LSS) Life in the Spirit Seminar in our place. All the people in our barangay attended. Then the healing ministry started the prayer meeting in our place every 1st Sunday of the month. Jesus did miracles, healing 2 insane people and they're totally healed. My family experienced tremendous healing of different diseases like dengue, convulsions and fever. By God's words and having faith in Him, my neighbor who got stroke and had blood clot in the head is now totally healed. At present we have daily prayer meetings at home and go to other barangays to proclaim God's words and the Healing Ministry will come every 1st Sunday for our prayer meeting in Lila Parish. There are lots of people who are changed and healed from different diseases and our very own folks really witnessed how God healed them.

God is really great! Now, my whole family joined together in serving the Lord with true peace and joy for my husband and I are now with the same religion in the Catholic Church. I found the real and true faith in God who is claiming God's promises where I never experience before even if I knew and memorized lot of bible verses in the Bible but I never experienced miracles after other miracles because knowing the bible is not enough but we should live the Bible. I really thank the Lord for giving me true faith, making me as instrument to lead other people closer to God and I always give myself as a living sacrifice and be a blessing to others, all for the glory of our dear Father in the name of Jesus.
