I praise and worship God

By: Anna Charisma Tabuno

Luke 22: 42 “Father, if it is your will remove this cup from me; yet not my will but yours be done.”

I have been suffering from an unhealed rare wound diagnosed by doctors as “Chronic Osteomyelitis” in my left foot since I was 5 yrs old that caused hindrance in my schooling. I was forced to stop and only resorted to self-study availing the services of a private tutor. I am now 33 and still having the unhealed wound. When I was young my parents brought me to several doctors and to anyone who can help cure the illness I suffered, from quack doctors to doctors of medicines with specializations all over the province and even outside the province just to make me well.

I have been operated five (5) times already just to get rid of the dead tissues; bones and tendons affected which some of the doctors thought caused the wound to remain opened. I have taken different kind of high-dosed medicines and antibiotics that caused hair loss. We even resorted to some “palina-palina or halad-halad by quack doctors but nothing happened to the wound instead was worsen and discharges were coming out of the wound making me pale and weak. So I decided to stop taking any medicines and going to quack doctor.

Sometime in the year 2003, my neighbor, who is an active member of the Catholic Charismatic Group, introduced to my family the healing ministry of the Children of Light Servant Community. They visited our home for overnight prayers just 3 times yet I noticed the fast healing of the wound. Within the period of four (4) to five (5) months the wound healed itself without taking any medicines. I was so happy that I attended every prayer meeting in St. Joseph Cathedral praising and thanking God.

Last year I started to go with the Charismatic Group in some of their outreaches in different towns. I could not imagine myself traveling when before I would just sit on my rolling chair because I easily get a fever even for just short walks since my foot would swell that I cannot put on my shoes. But with the grace of GOD I survived my ordeal willing to let the people know that anybody can be a living witness of God's love and mercy, which is unfathomable. By attending every prayer meeting I've seen God's mercy and power in my life and my faith increases. I mean it's clearer in me right now that God's words and promises are true if you just believe in them.

Though God permits the wound to recur at times but I know HE has more plans for me and what really amazes me on GOD'S power is that I don't experience those fevers and swelling of the foot anymore. I don't have fears and doubts as to when this wound will be perfectly healed for I already experience a healing from HIM and I'm willing to share JESUS' pain through this wound even if I have to wait forever. It is not my will but HIS will be done.

Praise, glory, wisdom, thanks, honor, power and strength to our GOD forever and ever, Amen!
