46 exhibitors sign up for Agri-Fair, more coming |
FORTY six exhibitors for the 2006 agri-fair adds to the festive mood of the Sandugo, while some are still coming on July 20. This year's agri fair, bearing “Mabungahong Bol-anong Paningkakay” is located at the City Hall grounds and the premises of Agricultural Promotion Center and Provincial Agriculture Office. The agri-exhibit shows two categories, the flower and garden show, which has 22 exhibitors and the products display, for both fresh or processed product with 24 exhibitors. Comprising the products' display are commercial establishments, Local Government Units (LGU), People's Organizations, and Non-Government Organizations. According to Rosanna Lamdagan, the committee on product display chairperson, some more products from General Santos, Davao , and Dumaguete will be showcased on July 20-24 as exhibitors will be coming over on these dates. The month long affair does not only give opportunities for top-of-the-line products of Bohol to be showcased, it also is a venue for Boholanos to learn. The agri-fair's “Panginabuhian series” includes demonstrations on making peanut butter, pork tocino, skinless longanisa, chips, siopao, fresh lumpia, and pickles. At the fair, farmers will be also taught business planning at the Agribusiness Entrepreneurship Training. The one-month undertaking will wrap-up with a fitting awarding ceremony. Awards like Best Product display, Best Flower and Garden Show, and Most Cooperative Local Government Unit will be given. The Sandugo Agri-Fair is a yearly activity timed for the Sandugo and done in joint partnership with the Provincial and the City Government, along with the Bohol Sandugo Foundation, Inc. |
