CLEC II eyes unification of its fishery ordinances |
Clarin. FURTHER rationalizing the diverse interpretations of the Philippine Fisheries Code, the Coastal Law Enforcement Council (CLEC-II) recently discussed the unification of fishery ordinances in the coastal towns of district II. With this, Sangguniang Bayans who have sea ordinances are to submit their approved ordinances to the council for unification. In a meeting Thursday, May 25 and hosted by Clarin Mayor Hermogenes Diezon, the members of the award winning innovation in coastal law enforcement also aimed for the outright fielding of an army detachment in Bien Unido town especially in Malingin island. Looking at better-managed mangroves, the meeting also tackled the proposed take-over on co-management strategic plan for mangroves and early implementation of the said plan. Meanwhile, the local government unit of Clarin celebrated their Family Day last Friday an Dumaluan Beach Resort in Panglao. The same day was set for the honoring of its employees who rendered meritorious services for the town. One of the retirees is Melecia Z. Piezas who served as sangguniang bayan secretary for more than 30 years. In his honoring speech, Mayor Hermogenes Diezon thanked the retirees for their services while at the same time inspiring local employees to go the extra mile for government service. Kagawad Samuel Jude Salera gave the welcome address and ABC President Reynaldo Salera gave his part of the event. |
