Marine resource mgt earns Sagay interest |
REPLICATION of innovations in governance again brings to Bohol key officials of Sagay City in Negros Occidental and the Sagay Marine Reserve City Environment Natural Resources Office (SMR-CENRO) personnel to interact with Boholano counterparts. The team visits Bohol on October 12-14, 2006 as part of their educational tour on environmental protection and conservation. In a letter received by the office of Gov. Erico Aumentado from SMR Protected Area Superintendent Mayo Antonio Cueva and Sagay City Mayor Leo Rafael Cueva, both Negrense officials said they intended to cross visit famed Bohol areas where Bohol has excelled in governance. The visiting group is also accompanied by Bantay Dagat volunteers who will visit and interact with the personnel of the provincial government handling environmental programs on coastal resource management, coastal law enforcement and ecotourism. It can be recalled that the province of Bohol has been in the forefront of environment conservation and protection. |
