2 die in motorbike collision

By: SEN GUINGGUING

Two motorcycle riders who were apparently in a hurry to get home Thursday evening did not reach their respective residences alive. The head-on collision took place in barangay Tinago, Dauis town when Lucifer Bantigi of Libertad, Tubigon town was hit by a speeding motorcycle driven by a ceratain Necitas,Dominisac of Looc, Panglao town. Bantigi died on the spot while his adversary was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in this city.

Police investigation showed that, Bantigi, a technician at the hemodialysis unit at the Ramiro Community Hospital was cruising at moderate speed at the Tinago highway when there appeared in his front view a speeding motorcycle racing with another motorbike. It was too late for Bantigi to avoid the incoming motorcycle. It was gathered that Dominisac came from the Loon fiesta and was apparently drunk at that time. Bantigi was in Panglao to answer a sideline call (he engaged in the repair of electronic equipment).Bantigi left a wife and one kid while the other victim left a wife and nine children.
