Capitol Bagsakan sells on August 7

A flea market of fresh vegetables and other crops at bannered lower prizes will take the Provincial Government's sponsorship on August 7, 2006 at the Acacia Garden, Capitol, this city. Initiated by the Bohol Poverty Reduction Management Office (BPRMO), a satellite office of the Capitol under Governor Erico Aumentado, the “bagsakan” will be participated by the BPRMO covered cooperatives.

The “bagsakan” is an activity geared towards poverty alleviation for the benefit of Boholanos, said Antonieto Pernia. Pernia, BPRMO and Provincial Government and Media Affairs (PGMA) head said Gov. Aumentado will be also distributing checks, through the Provincial Cooperative Development Council (PCDC), to 21 Municipal Cooperative Development Councils (MCDC) and 1 City Cooperative Development Council during the event. It may be recalled that each MCDC and CCDC will receive P25, 000 as financial assistance, which will be used for capability building of the council.
