RP's DOT to participate in Korea World Travel Tour

The Department of Tourism will once again participate in the Korea World Travel Fair 2006 (KOTFA 2006) which will be held at the Convention and Exhibition Center , (COEX), Korea .

KOFTA is the most prestigious and biggest travel fair in Korea and since Korea is now he number one tourist generating country for the Philippines next to USA, our participation will be a good venue to promote and boost travel; to introduce varied tourism offerings and attractions and to help develop travel product suitable to the needs of the market and will likewise give participants the opportunity to conduct business with Korean during the fair.

Secretary Joseph H. Durano of the Department of Tourism (DOT) will be leading the Philippine delegation and meet 300 media and travel operators on June 7, 2006 . And since this event is beneficial for the Philippines and its tourist location, it is expected that it will become a big opportunity to feature the attractions of Bohol as a destination not only for the divers, the general leisure market but mostly for the honeymooners and retirees.

Sec. Durano who will head the DOT-Team Korea has requested a number of delegates including Governor Erico Aumentado to support and participate in this event for the sake of the unlocked tourist destinations to the Koreans and foreigners.
