Dimiao municipal infirmary opens

By: KATHERINE M, BERONDO

Dimiao- QUICK medical response now is available to the people of Dimiao, thanks mostly to forward-looking municipal officials and district representative who joined hands in making the dream infirmary a reality last May 25, 2006. Long years of labor and hard work has finally ripened with all efforts peaking with the presence of Governor Erico B. Aumentado and Congressman Eladio "Boy" Jala as honored guests. The inauguration ceremony was a jam-packed event with eager residents witnessing the unfolding of history in this part of Bohol. The after-ceremonies program followed at the town's Conference Hall.

In his speech, the honorable Governor congratulated local officials for the establishment of a infirmary, the fifth Municipal Infirmary in the 3rd district of Bohol. Gov. Aumentado stressed that such a feat is overwhelming for a small town like Dimiao. He explained the importance of the Municipal Infirmary, which allows medical held to be near the people and those of the nearby towns.

The infirmary operates just like a hospital with immediate health care dispensed before the patients can get proper “hospital attention”. For this feat, Gov Aumentado promised to include Dimiao among those towns to benefit from the medical equipment to be distributed any time soon.

Even then, the governor assured local officials and the people of continued counterparts for the Philhealth para sa Masa. This should help the town operate its newly established Municipal Infirmary better, Meanwhile, in his speech, Congressman Eladio Jala pointed out that the Municipal Infirmary is like a "small hospital" of the town where immediate health assistance can be given immediately. Even then, Rep. Jala expressed his all support to all health program of the municipality. For her relentless efforts of building the health infrastructure, former Mayor, Atty. Sylvia V. Adame received the plaque of appreciation. Hope now springs for indigent patients here who would be able to get medical attention fast. Furthermore, the local leaders' have proven that their vow for service has pushed them to this initiative to secure the life and well being of its constituents.
