Ex-prov'l. assessor dies at 73 |
GARCIA Hernandez–Retired provincial assessor Teotimo Borja, 73 succumbed to cardiac arrest at 5:00 a.m. of February 23 in his residence here. Tinie, as he was fondly called by friends, the son of former provincial treasurer Dionisio Borja, Sr. of Tagbilaran City and Teofista Aceron of Jagna. Tinie is survived by wife, Estrella Lily Jamero of this town and sister, Lucille. He was a retired teacher of G-Hernandez Central Elementary School and had served as city assessor before becoming provincial assessor. Last December 7, Borja was elected president of the Bohol Federation of Senior Citizens Association of the Philippines with the association's previous president, Luis Cabilla, as vice-president. At the time of his demise, Borja was ready for Tagbilaran City to preside the monthly meeting of the BFSCAP. Family members found Borja lying on the floor of their comfort room. They decided to check him out after suspecting what took him long inside the comfort room. Borja's body lies at state of his residence at La Perla, this town. Interment follows when relatives abroad would arrive. |
