A WORRY FREE LIFE WITH JESUS

1 Peter 5:7 Leave all your worries with Him because He cares for you.

By: SIS ESTER BAG-AO MORALA

Are you living in fear? Do you worry most of the times, I know that most of us have thousands of reasons to worry about. Just like me, for many years I had been imprisoned in fears until I came to know JESUS who delivered me from the bondage of worries, fears, and illnesses. Before, I worried too much about many things even to the slightest thing. I worried for any untoward events that may come to my life in the future 10 to 20 years after and health disorders that I was suffering since I was still a small child and these worries rubbed my peace and happiness. That was my life before I accepted Jesus as my personal friend, God, savior and king.

Of course I was reared by God fearing parents since I was young, I was taught about God who is in heaven. I attended Sunday masses. I thought that was enough. Since childhood I was sickly until I got married. At eleven years old I already suffered peptic ulcer. When I grew up my body disorder grew in numbers. I had weak lungs, sinusitis and many others. I was even maintaining medicines for my sinusitis and peptic ulcer. I had hemorrhoids and alarmingly very low blood pressure which cause me to suffer fro headaches. My kids were also very sickly and many said that they inherited their poor health from me. Those were my struggles that almost every month one of the members of my family was hospitalized. Because of this situation, I was forced to get insurance health coverage for all the members of my family. I thought that was my best health security. Last September, 1998, I met one of God's instruments who led me to join the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Community. When I attended the first prayer meeting, I felt something strange that gave me inner peace.

I was amazed of their testimonies on how JESUS cured their illnesses. At first I doubted for I could hardly believed that sicknesses can be cured by prayer because ever since I was drug dependent. But slowly when I came to learn from the teachings of GOD through His holy words, I was taught that GOD is the ultimate healer so I decided to turn to JESUS all my worries, my sickness and had a covenant with Him that I will make Jesus as my health insurance. I decided not to renew our health insurance anymore and anytime one of us suffered from any illness, I sought the mercy of GOD first, prayed and if I was tempted from any fear I sought the prayers of other believers who were already living in faith and thanks GOD, He is faithful to His promise that if I received His messengers, it is He that I received and I also received the Father who has sent Jesus to my life. I and all my love ones are enjoying the benefits of the chosen people enjoying life in abundance in health, wealth and enjoying the real peace and joy that I never had before. I thank GOD that every time I would be put in trials I will just praise GOD and now I am enjoying the life of serving GOD as my token of gratitude for all the things He has given me and my family and my loved ones. Since 1998 I was delivered fully from the bondage of sickness and worries and I consider this a great miracle. Alleluiah, GOD IS GREAT AND GREATLY TO BE PRAISED. Thanks GOD for giving us the opportunity to proclaim the goodness of GOD through this column in this Sunday Post to answer the query of my doctor and the nurses who usually attended us of what hospital did I transfer for my medication. Through this column I want to proclaim that Jesus is my doctor and my healer.
