BIR reminders

Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) District Officer Atty. Rogelio Balaga reminds all persons engaged in business and practice of profession/calling that the deadline for payment of annual registration fee of P500 for every establishment and outlet/branch will be on Wednesday, Jan. 31.

Other transaction due on said date are the filing of List of Merchandise/Supplies Inventory as of December 31, and Annual Information Return (BIR Form 1604-CF) together with the alphabetical list of employees/payees in diskette form. Monday, Jan. 22 is the last day for filing and payment of monthly percentage tax (BIR Form 2551M) and submission by withholding agents of alphalist of income payments subjected to withholding tax (SAWT); while the last day for filing and payment of quarterly Value-added Tax (VAT-2550Q) and submission of quarterly summary lists of sales/purchases by VAT taxpayers will be on Thursday, Jan. 25. All taxpayers concerned are advised to take note of said dates in order to avoid penalties imposed under existing laws and regulations.
