TOBOY 2006 search opens

THE annual search for the Ten Outstanding Barangay Officials of the Year (TOBOY) for 2006 now opens. This is known from a fax message received by the Office of Gov. Erico Aumentado from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) regional office.

The TOBOY award is designed to recognize barangay officials in region 7 who have shown exemplary performance in the discharge of their functions. This program is jointly undertaken by the Local Administration and Development Program Alumni Association of the Philippines (LADPAAP) region 7 chapter, the DILG region 7, and the Liga ng mga Barangay-7 with the support of benevolent parties and institutions that have offered to sponsor the program.

The selection and submission of the Toboy nominees at the provincial and city levels is slated on August 1 to September 11, 2006 while the submission of TOBOY nominees to the regional search committee is scheduled on September 18, 2006.
