ARDCP II unrolls P100M funds for 7 Bohol towns |
CONVERGENCE play another decisive role for Bohol when the second phase of the Agrarian Reform Community Development Projects (ARCDP II) and the local governments unroll more than P100M funds for rural development. Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer lawyer Johnson Sinco has initially relayed the figure to Bohol media, saying that about P100,838,496 will go to 9 identified projects for implementation and are set to alter some barangays economic landscape in the next months. This amount however also incorporates the local government's counterpart amounting to P55, 723, 618. Of the 9 identified projects recently approved for funding, a new solar dryer and a multi-purpose farmers' center is included for this year, Department of Agrarian Reform authorities confirm. The rest of the seven projects during two assessments were crucial farm to market roads, all in all leveling a total of 35.47 kilometers of Bohol 's farm to market conduit roads. The projects would be implemented in Bohol 's ARCDP II expansion towns of Pilar, Dimiao, Ubay, Talibon, Catigbian, Danao and Trinidad. Recently also, Bohol Governor Erico Aumentado has set up in Bohol leverage funds for easy access for local government units needing counterparts funds for opportunities such as this. Kilos Asenso proposed to use the monetized Internal Revenue Allotment of LGUs as leverage funds for infrastructure and anti-poverty programs needing local counterparts. |
