JESUS HEALS ME!

Psalm 107: 19-21 “ Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them from their distress. He sent forth His word and healed them; He rescued them from the grave. Let them give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for men.”

I am Mr. Santiago Oculares of Cogon, Lila, Bohol . I want to praise the Lord for He is my strength and constant refuge. I want to proclaim the good news that Jesus is the great healer of all healers. I give Him thanks for I received the gift of healing and faith.

September 2005, I got sick of pneumonia associated with hypertension and peptic ulcer. I also suffered severe coughing and I spat blood already. One day, I felt so weak. It's hard for me to breathe. I decided to go the hospital for medication. I looked for money. I roamed all around my friends, neighbors and relatives but I couldn't borrow. My cousin who is a member of Catholic charismatic renewal Movement told me to seek healing in prayer. She said, Jesus would heal me for free. The payment is just faith in him, offer sacrifice and accept Jesus as my personal savior.

At first, I was hesitant and it was hard for me to believe that I will be healed without medication. But I was inspired by the testimonies of my cousin that a lot of sick people were healed by prayer alone. I accepted the offer. I wore a jacket and wrapped my whole body with pillow for I felt so cold. Together with my son and cousin we went to Lomanoy, Lila for prayer support. Exactly 2 pm we gathered together for prayer. I was again inspired upon hearing lots of testimonies that they were healed of different diseases.

At that time, I accept Jesus wholeheartedly. I surrender my whole self to Him. Right after the prayer, I felt so light and I gained back my strength. I was overwhelmed with amazement for I was healed. I went home bringing the banner of faith and healing. The next day, I went back to my usual works in our farm. Until now, I feel good and all those illnesses I felt before were gone. God is really true to His promise in Psalm 34. Now, I'm the grace of serving the Lord. I always attend prayer meetings and reading the bible everyday becomes my habit.

For me, it was a blessing on my part that I found no money for medication in such a way that I found Jesus that gives me complete healing. Before I used to be in the hospital from time to time. I spent lots of money but experienced no healing. It is only Jesus that breaks all the bondage of my diseases. It was amazing grace.
