Although it has since been open for business after its construction was completed, the blessing and inauguration of the Inabanga Fishing Village is set today. Rev. Fr.. Florante Camacho, former president of the Holy Name University will preside over the blessing rites. The inauguration is timed with the birthday celebration of lawyer Anos Fonacier whose Bohol Beach Club has tie up arrangement with the Jumamoys of Inabanga led by Mayor Josephine Socorro Jumamoy to operate the resort. The new resort is considered the anchor destination of a northern tour package using the Tubigon port as entry point from Cebu. Since the start of its operations middle of last year, the resort already saw a steady stream of both domestic and foreign tourists.

The bulk of the foreign tourist is mostly from mainland China with a sprinkling of Koreans, Taiwanese and Japanese tourists. Part of the tour package of the Inabanga Fishing Village is the river boat cruise using the entrance of the Dagohoy Park located near the St. Paul Church . From here, the tourists take a ride from a motorized banca and given a river tour first before being taken to the fishing village. Sitting on a two-hectare property, the fishing village boasts of a restaurant that serves fresh seafood and native dishes and also has a fishpond where guests can catch tilapia and have these cooked. Future expansion plans include a function room, a campsite, a firing range and a swimming pool to entice more guests to visit the area.
