Hearing of Garcia murder transferred to Branch 47

 

The long drawn court battle involving the murder of second district board member Felix Garcia was back to its original court sala which is Branch 47 under Presiding Judge Pablo Magdoza, Jr. During the last hearing of the case,, lawyers of both parties agreed to resume the litigation at its original RTC branch from RTC Branch 52 in Talibon under Presiding Judge Irma Zita Masamayor.

The case was transferred to the sala of Judge Magdoza after one of the lawyers of one of the accused in the murder of Garcia claimed to be a relative of the presiding judge. The lawyer in question, Oscar Glovasa, withdraw as legal counsel of Ricardo Mascarinas, one of the suspects in the Garcia slay paving the way for transfer of the case venue.
