DO NOT LET YOUR HEARTS BE TROUBLED

By: Cecilia Kudemus Torrejos

Luke12: 22-26, then Jesus said to his disciples “Therefore I tell you do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens, they do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds. Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life. Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?

oPraise the Lord, before, I never care to listen to the words of God, though I attended masses on Sundays but my concerned was to earn and to have much money. God reminded me when I was able to meet a very unforgettable experience and it was because of this experience that I felt the healing love of God and through it I was able to meet Jesus personally as my Savior and my redeemer.

In the year 2003, I was so busy applying for a job abroad. I stayed in Manila just to have my dream realized. On August 28, 2003 I was able to go to Taiwan and I thought that was the answer to all my longings. It was so shocking for me when I reached Taiwan for my employer did not fetch me up for they had already employed another one. I was forced to return back to the Philippines . When I was in Manila I worked out for the refund of my placement fee of P55, 000.00 because this amount was taken through borrowings. I was issued a check equivalent of this amount but when I reached home and had the check cashed in the bank there was no sufficient fund. It was not easy for me to handle all the failures I experienced and because of this I could no longer sleep.

In the month of September, one morning at 5:00 o'clock , I woke up with a severe headache, it was extremely painful. My children and my husband called up my sister whose house was just adjacent to our house. My sister, who always heard the testimonies of her office-mate did not bring me to the hospital but instead brought me to her office-mate's house.

We reached there at about 6:00 o'clock in the morning and at that time I was still conscious and I remembered that we started to pray. According to my sister and my husband, they were surprised because my appearance changed as if I had stroke. My husband who was rattled requested my sister to have me admitted in the hospital. My sister received an extra ordinary divine gift of faith because instead of listening to his request she requested my husband to just calm down and just believe in God and said, “Nothing is impossible with God”.

They continued praying and I regained consciousness after I vomited and urinated. Thanks God. We went home at 7:00 o'clock on that morning together with the healing group and we continued the praises and prayer at home the whole day together with my family. PRAISE GOD! ALLELUIAH! I was totally delivered and healed and it was a leading for us to be in the service of the LORD. My family and I attended the prayer meeting in the Cathedral. We do not forget what the Lord has done, so, as our gratitude to Him, my husband now is serving God as a lay minister and we joined the Couples for Christ. Thanks God. Alleluiah, our Father is glorified by the name of Jesus and He is exalted now and forever with the prayers of our dear Mother Mary.
