What about Angelo Balili? |
With this question, the likely follow-up, is he running again? Last we heard from his trusted lieutenants in both Loboc and Loay, the IT wonder boy, is again hedging if he runs or not. With this development, if true, we can only say sayang. In several elections past, Balili was rumored to seek a Congress seat in the 3rd district only to chicken out when the day of reckoning loomed into view. But for God's sake, we are not faulting him for changing his mind as frequently as he did when he was made to make the crucial decision of whether he ran or not. No doubt, there must be a strong reason why. For all intents and purposes, he is entitled to his own opinio0n and who are we disagree. One plausible reason, this time, why he is not running after all is that his family is averse to his political plan. Some people are asking about an update of Balili's political ambition after the name of former governor Rene Relampagos cropped up in a crowded field of congressional wannabes in the third district. It was public knowledge that if Balili, would finally make a crack in the 3rd congressional fight, he is a virtual shoo-in in the field of frontrunners. Knowing to be easy with his money, it is our calculated guess that among congressional hopefuls, it is a certainty that he will give all his opponents a run of their money. If a search for the richest candidate in the third district is made, Balili is it. So, the buzz this time is for Balili to change his mind. Not only are all the mayors in the district are hoping that one day he will make a sudden turnabout, so are voters who are looking forward that happy days are here again. |
