Bohol tops region's real property tax collection

SOURCING more funds to be spent for crucial projects, Bohol under Gov. Erico Aumentado again scored a victory in tax collection. Bohol ranks 1st in real property tax collection in region 7 for the 1st quarter of the calendar year 2006. A letter from Lorna Atega, the OIC-Regional Director of the Bureau of Local Government Finance in Region 7 and concurrent Mandaue City treasurer bared this development to Gov. Aumentado. That means, Bohol got a collection efficiency of 175.63% followed by Cebu 's 162.60%; Negros Oriental, 122.17%; and Siquijor, 117.77%. Moreso, Alega extended her commendation to the Provincial Treasurer and Assessor and to all the Local Officials for their valuable contribution for this success.
