Bohol ready for regional sports meet

Yesterday was Black Saturday but officials of the Bohol Division Office led by Supt. Cerina Bolos knew no holiday as they put finishing touches to final preparations in relation to the coming Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVIRAA) Meet which opens on Tuesday at the CPG Sports Oval, in this city.

The Post caught up with the group led by Dr. Bolos in the oval vicinity overseeing preparations four days into the opening ceremonies. Final preparations were in order as the Bolos” group made ocular inspections of billeting quarters all over the city. The bulk of the 13 participating delegations will arrive tomorrow and they will immediately be sheltered in the different lodging quarters assigned to each contingent.

THE CVIRAA MEET - A parade Tuesday afternoon will kick-off the CVIRAA meet 2006. The schools divisions of the province of Bohol and the City ofTagbilaran will host's this year's edition of the sports hostilities for elementary and secondayr students from the four provinces of the region. The street parade starts at 2:30 p.m. from Plaza Rizal fronting the Capitol going to the CPG Sports Complex for the opening ceremonies.

Gov. Eirco Aumentado and City Mayor Dan Lim will welcome close to 6,000 delegates including Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia and other local chief executives, Department of Education Region 7 Director Carolino Moderno and officials from the 13 participating school divisions.
