CMM holds 66th grad exercises |
JAGNA –The Colegio de la Medalla Milagrosa (CMM), one of Bohol 's pre-war secondary schools held its 66th commencement exercises March 22 at the school gymnasium. Outstanding students received academic honors and special awards during the morning recognition rites, followed by a mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Jonas Achocoso, the guest of honor and officiating minister. In his homily he emphasized the dignity of life though it has its ups and downs. “Like the Gulong ng Palad, but these are but trials. We have to master those oddities with the vicissitudes in life that God bestowed on us because His Omnipotence will gratify those who sacrificed at the finality of life,” Fr. Achacoso said. The crowd silenced as his thought-provoking reflections and analysis on the temporal permeated to the parents, guardians, benefactors, the students and the whole school clientele. The 125 new graduates were also inducted into the CMM Alumni Association who members are now scattered all over the Philippines and the globe as can be gleaned by the recent grand alumni homecoming. On “Gratitude Night” on March 25, class valedictorian Ivony Jabines expressed her gratitude to God, her parents and those in her life instrumental to her victory. Oliver James Caboteja is the salutatorian while the honorable mentions are Josephine Abrau, Lara Carmelle Achacoso, Rosemarie Reños, Jennifer Alaine Salarda, Emelyn Ann Tado, Ma. Jeorjie Nuñez, Louella Halasan and Antonette Lungay. |
