Hans and Bohol tourism

One of the best things that ever happen to Bohol tourism is the appointment of German philanthropist Hans Schoof as its consultant. Unknown to many, it was only recently that Gov. Erico Aumentado handed down the appointment to the foreigner at no cost to the province.

Appointing Mr. Hans to the position is a masterstroke. Already a long time resident of Bohol , Mr. Hans appeared excited to the fact that the governor trusted him to handle the consultancy job especially at this time that Bohol is in the forefront of a sustainable tourism program. The timing of Mr. Hans' appointment is also perfect. Maybe unknown to some people, the appointment of Mr. Hans is perfect with the Panglao airport project poised to take off into orbit.

Why is Mr. Hans the best man for the job, let alone the implementation of the airport project? It is common knowledge that one of the vociferous oppositors to the ambitious project is the group of foreigners living in the Tawala-Bolod area. Widely respected in the expatriate community, Mr. Hans fits the consultancy position to a tee.

As an initial salvo to his new appointment, Mr. Hans is conducting an inventory of all tourist attractions in the municipalities. The intention is for Hans' office to create a unique Bohol tourism guide map in addition to setting up a safari adventure tour. At the rate, Mr. Hans is doing his job, we can safely say that he hits the ground running.
