Police clueless on two deaths over the week

 

 

Police remain clueless in hunting down the perpetrator in the killing of a 23-year-old man Thursday dawn last week, and settled for a suicide story in another death on Friday involving a 17-year-old boy at Ubujan District. The victim was identified as Angelo Relator, single, a resident of Franklyn St. , Sitio Ubos at the Causeway area, Tagbilaran City. Relator died from two stab wounds in the chest at 1:45 a.m. of November 15, according to police investigator SPO4 David Niluag, Dr. Apolo Bernaldez of the City Health Office and City Fiscal Nemesia Café-Uy. Based on the testimony of the security guard of Petron gasoline station in barangay Dampas, the victim was running towards the gasoline station and slumped unconscious, bleeding to death.

In another death, a 17-year-old boy reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself at the jackfruit tree behind his uncle's house at Ubujan District, Tagbilaran City. The victim, Roberto Gapas, was a student of Manga High School and a native of Cabanlasan, Bukidnon but was living with his uncle, Narciso Gapas in Uptown Housing, Ubujan District. According to SPO4 Saco, the victim had left a suicide note, expressing gratitude to his family and regret for having done wrong. Reports also had it that the night before, his uncle scolded him which caused him to feel depressed. The victim's uncle said he still saw him at 10 o'clock the night before, but was surprised to see the victim hanging from the jackfruit tree in the morning. (Sen Guingguing)
