The mysterious woman who was gunned down Friday afternoon by riding-in-tandem assassins right in front of Bohol Island State University (BISU) along Carlos P. Garcia Avenue was allegedly a veteran “mama-sang” who used to peddle “one-night pleasures and shabu” at a KTV bar located at the heart of Tagbilaran City, according to a police intelligence officer. Speaking on condition of anonymity, the police official told the Bohol Sunday Post that last Friday's broad-daylight-killing of a “pretty woman walking in the street” was allegedly a drug queen, who operated in Bohol and in Mindanao. The Post decided to withhold the name of the woman, pending final verification report from the regional police office. When showed the picture and name of the victim, PSupt. Joie Pacito Yape Jr., information officer at Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO), reechoed what had been confirmed by the PNP intelligence community that the woman gunned down in front of BISU last Friday afternoon was on the police “watch-list” for some time.
Police Senior Supt. Dennis Palo Agustin, Bohol PNP director, also told the Bohol Sunday Post that last Friday's killing is “drug-related.” Agustin had earlier warned drug pushers in Bohol to abandon the illegal activity before they are being killed by competitors or by their own drug-lord bosses who want accounting of drug sales up to the last centavo. Police Chief Inspector George Vale, city PNP chief, has said he would conduct a thorough investigation into last Friday's killing, which had stirred terror and fear among city residents. “Kini nga babaye, Sir, mao ni ang moduaw sa mga drug pushers nga na-arrest sa mga police,” said a non-commissioned police officer who asked not to be named because he is not authorized to speak for the Philippine National Police (PNP). “Kadaghan na mi nakadakop ug drug pushers nga kini siya ang magsige ug bisita ug moatiman sa kaso.”
The police source said that a companion of the killed mama-sang, posing as jail visitor, was at one time caught smuggling shabu into the jail. “Ang style ani, Sir, ang mama-sang ang mo-negotiate nga kung gusto sa usa ka lalaki mogamit ug babaye, baligyaan una ang customer ug shabu,” the police source said in an exclusive interview. “Pero dako na ni siya ug utang sa source sa shabu nga iyang gikuhaan. Sa among bana-bana, mga P300,000 na ang wala ma-remit,” the police officer said. Witnesses said that at 4 p.m. last Friday they heard a loud gunshot. Upon inspection, they saw a fair-skinned woman already lying in her own pool of blood near UNO building located at the corner of Palma Street and CPG Avenue. Witnesses told police that the gunmen, after firing at the woman, drove their motorcycle toward the SSS building. Police recovered from crime scene an empty shell belonging to a .45 caliber pistol. The killing disrupted the flow of traffic for a couple of hours as hundreds of commuters congregated around the crime scene. Others were taking pictures of the dead woman. Few minutes after the shooting, images of a woman shot dead in Tagbilaran City went viral on social media sites.
