MULTICULTURALISM

The British government has not paid attention to the growth of radical Islam on its land for almost two decades. The government has to decide whether it continues to be tolerant with multiculturalism, or stop terrorism. It is now labelled a major exporter of terrorists. The experiment of multiculturalism in Britain resulted in more than a thousand British Muslims now fighting for the Islamic State (ISIS) and more are joining every day. According to many Britons the government and its elites doesn't care anymore protecting traditional British, Judeo-Christian values, or their own civilization. And into this vacuum that Islam is advancing. Radical Muslims have been allowed and encouraged to build a parallel society within the nation. The government's weak response to radical Islam leads to the formation of citizen groups who give Christian Bibles to Muslims.

Britain First Chairman Golding said, "This is a Christian country. Our heritage is Christian. We hold it dear, so giving out Christian Bibles in a Christian country on British streets to people who are British citizens - we don't see anything wrong with that." The police viewed them as troublemaker. This is a problem even in several European countries. Across the globe, countries and communities are confronted with the threat that some of their vulnerable young men might embrace violent extremism. The extremists are using the social media in smart ways to reach out millions of people. They provide narratives such as the West controls the world (political), the West is decadent and decayed (moral), violence is acceptable against the enemies of Islam (religious), people want to make a difference and find excitement or meaning in an otherwise dreary existence (social/heroic) – more powerful to vulnerable young men having the feel of a video game.

According to the experts, it is a battle for the hearts and mind. Community groups, civil societies and governments should work together to challenge the jihadist scheme. Worthwhile alternatives or unique solutions can greatly reduce this vile influence, and so radicalization can be prevented. May God save the world.
