The administration of City Mayor John Geesnell “Baba” Yap II must be in the right track if its performance in the last two quarters is any gauge. For two consecutive quarters, the City Economic Enterprises has maintained its income's exponential growth. For the first quarter of 2014, the CEE has posted a 170% increase compared to the same period last year. The total rental fee from January to March 2014 was P2.4M compared to P1.7M last January to March 2013.
The Parking Fee and Cash Ticket had zero earnings in the first quarter of 2013 compared to its P3.6M earnings this first quarter of 2014. The income of the slaughterhouse almost doubled in 2014 with P833, 721.57 compared to P486, 628.28 in the first quarter of 2013. The Tagbilaran City Waterworks System has also doubled its income this year with P3M compared to P1.4M in the first quarter of 2013.

The business tax collections also increased by 26% or P21.3M this first quarter of 2014, the same with the real property tax collections, which have also increased by 13% or P4M. With this upsurge, the Bureau of Local Government and Finance (BLGF) announced that the City Government was able to get more than half of its target earning for the year 2014 for Real Property Tax amounting to P35,603,554.43 and for business tax amounting to P102,349,502.77.
It should be noted that it is still on the first quarter.
