Bohol First District Rep. Rene L. Relampagos has revealed that Bohol’s first district will get P161 million worth of infrastructure projects consisting of farm-to-market roads and irrigation dams out of the proposed 2014 National Government Budget. Of the P161 million, P75.4 million will go for irrigation projects in the towns of Calape, Antequera, Maribojoc and Tubigon. For Calape: P 40M for the Calunasan Small Reservoir Irrigation Project, P 7M for Small Irrigation Projects in Locob and Liboron, and another P 2.5M for the Communal Irrigation System Extension Project in Liboron. For Antequera: P3.5M for the establishment of a groundwater Pump Irrigation Project in Bungahan and P4M for a Small Irrigation Project in Banlasan. For Tubigon: P5M for a Small Irrigation Project for Macaas and Buacao and another P1.3M for the Ilijan, Tubigon SWIM. For Maribojoc: P12M for a Small Irrigation Project that will benefit the barangays of Busao, Agahay, Cabawan and Aliguay.
On the other hand, the balance of P86 Million will fund two major farm-to-market roads and 18 minor farm-to-market roads in the towns of Alburquerque, Dauis, Panglao, Sikatuna, Balilihan, Catigbian, Antequera, Calape and Loon. Relampagos said that he is working closely with Secretary Proceso Alcala of the Department of Agriculture for additional funds for more projects in the first district.
