TAGBILARAN CITY – Besting 17 other hopefuls, Miss Brigitte Burato, 18, of Alicia is adjudged as Miss Bohol Sandugo 2013, succeeding Miss Sandugo 2012 Idy Casenas Cagas of Jagna in a jampacked crowd at Bohol Cultural Center last night. Miss Shaila Mae Rebortera, 17 of Baclayon clinched the first-runner-up plum while Dae Narah Garcia, 17 of Talibon town, second runner-up. All top three candidates received cash prizes and a trophy each in another lively edition of brain and beauty, pageant, launched by Bohol Sandugo Foundation. Mis Mary Elaine Cimafranca, 19 of Dauis and Miss Jan Jeanhnette Labastida, 19 of Loon completed the top five. Ms. Rebortera also won the Miss Coca-cola Body and Miss San Mig Coffee andMiss Photogenic and Ms. Cimafranca bagged the Miss Evening Gown award, Ms. Magnolia and Best in Swinsuit. Miss Brenda Liza Cagatin, 17 of Sierra-Bullones was declared as Miss Congeniality and Miss Myra Fritzie Golosino, 23 of Guindulman was Best in Talent. Miss Mashellane Real Jade Cajels, 20, Panglao won the Best in Production Number; Mis Lizyl Jane Lomotos, 20, Antequera, Bohol as Best in Festival Costume.

The other candidates for this year edition include: Shereen Alainah Acuna, 22, Catigbian;; Feby Dannica Garrote, 17, Cortes; Ma. Mercedes Cutanda, 16, Corella; Phoebe Jhane Bulala, 18, Dagohoy; Ruth Basarte, 21, Jagna; Genina Abrau, 18 San Miguel; Jessicca Timbal, 21, Guindulman; Rhea Mae Antigua, 17, Loay; Antoniette Grace Mortejo, 18, Cortes;. Meanwhile, touted as the first Miss Bohol Sandugo was Winnie Moreno Lim in 1989. This is being followed by Ms. Tiffany Yap of Jagna in 1990; RAcelle Adlaon, Jagna in 1991; Celevel Ranoco, Jagna in 1992; Mary Ann Eronico, Talibon in 1993; Vanessa Joyce Evardone, Tagbilaran City in 1994; Irah Noemi Naron, Baclayon in 1995; Lainne Reyes Canoy, Maribojoc in 1996; Socorro D’Marie Tallo Inting, Tagbilaran City in 1997; Josely Yap Ferniz, Bilar in 1998; and Maria Nina Cubillo, (Calape) ABENA in 1999. Miss Mellanie Angelina Wallace, Calape was crowned Miss Bohol Sandugo in 2000; She is succeeded by Jeany Justiniane, Valencia in 2001 (who was reportedly replaced by Miss Vanessa Cadorna, Duero). Miss Cherry Mae Bacarro, Dimaio in 2002; Fatima Liora Lloren Rana, Jagna in 2003; Rhiz Novah Arenas, Inabanga, in 2004; Anna Maris Igpit, Panglao in 2005, who was the official candidate for Miss World. Miss Joy Marie Maglajos, Catigbian in 2008; Daisy Jean Quilicot, Tagbilaran City in 2009; Amir Paraguya Sol, Tubigon in 2010; Farrah Faye Abarquez Mian, Tubigon in 2011; and Miss Idy Casenas Cagas, Jagna in 2012.
