New second district lawmaker to implement brgy master plan

Congressman-elect Aris C. Aumentado has trained his sights to implement the Barangay Masterplan to effect faster development for the second district of Bohol. This was the core message of the congressman during the induction ceremonies of the newly elected officials of Dagohoy recently. If may be recalled that only the second district of Bohol has a Barangay Masterplan in the entire province. It may be the only district nationwide with such valuable database on the priority requirements of all barangays. The masterplan serves as the guide to all development efforts because the barangay officials themselves categorized their needs according to priorities. During his speech as inducting officer of the newly elected officials of Dagohoy, Congressman-elect Aris Aumentado made known his agenda that would make use of the masterplan as the guide so that it will not only bring development to the countryside but also answers the needs of constituents based on their own priorities, not the priorities of government alone. In this manner, Aumentado continued, his governance adopts the bottoms up strategy because only the barangay folks themselves know exactly which of their needs require priority status and implementation. The Barangay masterplan was initiated by the late Cong. Erico B. Aumentado, father of the incoming congressman. Cong. Aris also thanked the officials for their support of his candidacy which resulted to his landslide victory over former congressman and mayor Roberto Cajes.
