The week that was saw a spate of violent killings in Bohol which was considered unusual in what otherwise is a peaceful province. The otherwise peaceful municipality of San Isidro was jolted with the death Wednesday evening of Luis Payosan y Alvarado, 56 years old, married and a resident of barangay Guiwanon, Tubigon town. He was hacked to death by the suspect identified as Jovencio Ompoy, 30, single and a resident if barangay Causwagan, San Isidro. The victim was killed with the use of his own bladed weapon. He was killed by the suspect by slashing his neck resulting in his dead on arrival at the Catigbian Community Hospital.
