Board Member Imboy breaks silence, says PCL issue rehash

LOAY. - Provincial Board Member Brigido Z. Imboy broke his silence last week on allegations that he failed to account funds during his incumbency as president of the Philippine Councilors League, Bohol chapter. Imboy, who earned a fresh mandate as board member of the third district reacted to allegations about PCL funds which he failed to account adding that they were all recycled issues. Earlier, he said he’s willing to account the funds during his term while awaiting for the action of the PCL leadership under incumbent president Ramonito Torrefranca, a reelected councilor of Carmen town. Imboy was credited for good and able leadership during his time as PCL president. His wife, Rosemarie Lim-Imboy quoted several municipal kagawads as having vouched for her husband’s exemplary leadership that no one could probably match.

The Imboys equated their situation as that of a mango tree bearing lot of ripened fruits but only to be stoned. They’re wondering why they’re always at the receiving end when PCL election is forthcoming, Mayor Rosemarie Imboy said. Mayor Imboy, who came to the rescue of her husband, said that she thinks the people had already judged them by giving them landslide votes in the last elections. Her daughter, Rochelle Brigitte Imboy, is probably the youngest municipal councilor at 22, was elected as number one councilor and her son is the provincial federated president of the Sangguniang Kabataan who sits as ex-officio member of the provincial board. Her husband, Brigido Imboy was reelected as board member, and she herself was likewise voted for another term to serve as municipal mayor of this progressive town. The Imboys underscored that what they have now is the fruit of hard work. They become what they are now even long before they get involve in politics. They said that what they’re apt to is nothing but to serve their constituents the best they can. Right now, they’re focused on another challenges and that is to work with and for the people of Loay because it is what they’re sworn to. And nobody can stop them to do this, not even their political detractors, the Imboy couple said.
