Meet this veteran legislator as candidate for city council

Who among the candidates who have the credential and qualification of a tested legislator in one of the highest law making bodies of the country? It’s not hard to decipher if the electorate in this city knows from Adam a guy named Adam Relson Jala, former third district congressman, who is staking his revered name in the fight for city councilors. As a former lawmaker in Congress, Jala needs no elaborate introduction. It’s enough that one time, he served as third district legislator for one term and there’s no argument that he is the best bet for councilor in this city. Young at 33, the young Jala is trying his luck in city politics banking on his impressive credentials and qualification as a veteran legislator. There may be re-electionists in the three complete tickets vying for the vote of the city electorate who are immersed in the art of law-making but no one is at par in terms of legislative experience than the young Jala.

Asked if it was not demeaning on his part to be running for councilor after his experience in Congress, Jala said he sees nothing wrong with his decision. According to Jala, he is not particular with what title he has been through but service above all is what drives him to run for city councilor. After all, Jala added, he still believes that as a former congressman running for councilor, this reality did not entitle him to any proprietary hold to any title he once held. Graduated at the Ateneo Law School with honors, Jala has a lucrative law practice when smitten by the prospect of running for city councilor. Like his track record in Congress where he sponsored laws that centered on health, sports, infrastructure, education, livelihood among others, when elected ,Jala will also concentrate in the same basic needs of the people of Tagbilaran.
