Kit Oppus mantra: ‘Public Service from the Heart!’

“Kinasing-kasing nga serbisyu para sa tanan” is more than just a slogan for vice mayoralty candidate Kit Oppus, it is a sacred creed. One of the focus programs of vice mayor contender Kit Oppus is the protection and development for women and children’s concerns, a task she personally takes on as a lifelong crusade. Tagbilaran City is envisioned for immense progress with the extensive legislative and managerial experiences Councilor Oppus will bring once seated as the next vice mayor. There is so much truth in the old saying that says, “In every man’s success, there’s a woman behind!” With the promotion of Councilor Oppus’s husband to the rank of General, 2013 has indeed been filled with tremendous blessings for the Oppus family and Pundok Panaghiusa. Councilor Baba Yap was once asked as to why he personally chose Kit Oppus to be his running mate, Yap said, “There is no other person I know who is more passionate, capable, credible, intelligent and shares my innermost desire to serve the people of Tagbilaran than Councilor Kit Oppus. It is such an honor for me to have the best vice mayoralty candidate in the country, and that I say with utmost certainty!”

Quoting one of Councilor Oppus’s favorite messages from former U.S.A. President Bill Clinton, he once said, “The power of example and not example of power,” is very much similar to Pundok Panaghiusa’s thrust, “BUHAT, kontra sa-ad!” The style of governance soon-to-be Vice Mayor Kit Oppus brings is the assurance of delivering to the grassroots level all the basic public services. Oppus narrates, “In one voice let us say no to ‘trapos’ or traditional politicians who does nothing but give empty promises and only dreams of future services. We, at Pundok Panaghiusa, have already been delivering these services our opponents are still envisioning. Let us choose our next public servants based on actual public services already rendered, unquestionable integrity and the capability to lead by example.” For the voting public to better know the highly respected and adored Kit Oppus, enumerated below are the most recent credentials of the city’s vice mayoralty candidate:

Incumbent City Councilor and Minority Floor Leader of the 10th and 11th Sangguniang Panlungsod

Former Board Secretary and Vice Chief of Staff, Office of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Bohol

Former Director, Videogram Regulatory Board

Present President, Bohol Chocolate Hills Lions Club

“BUHAT, kontra sa-ad!”, paired with “Kinasing-kasing nga serbisyu para sa tanan!”, equates to Tagbilaran’s success, growth and development, thus concluded Kit Oppus.
