Carmen Mayor Che Delos Reyes, a candidate for Bohol governor with affinity to a group called Bag-ong Bol-anon, has amassed personal wealth worth P40.5 million in 2011 alone (a year after she was elected mayor) based on her Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net worth (SALN) filed in 2012. In the mayor’s SALN notarized by Lawyer Michael Doria on April 30, 2012, it showed that Delos Reyes bought in 2011 real properties in Carmen, Bohol, specifically in the barrios of Nueva Vida Norte, Poblacion Sur and Bicao. The mansionic residential house and two agricultural lands are valued at P19 million, her SALN shows.

Another fortune was acquired “in cash” in 2011 consisting of jewelries, furnitures, appliances, bank deposits, clothes, shoes, and bags with a total cash value of P21 million. Delos Reyes declared as “zero or none” for name of creditors and their outstanding balance. Her salary as mayor of Carmen is the only declared source of income, with a cash value of P766,602. But the Beauche International, her soap business, was not listed as a source of income. Total amount of expenses were listed as follows: travel allowance (P100,000); clothing allowance (P100,000); billing and communications (P60,000); food medicine (P150,000); and billings/electric/water (P250,000).

Her SALN shows that she paid an income tax of P110,741.50. Delos Reyes’s “business interests and financial connections” only includes the Beauche International which has a business address in Dasmarinas, Cavite, and it started in 2006. For "relatives in the government" section Delos Reyes named no names of relatives or family members who work in the government. All in all, the mayor of Carmen’s total net worth less her liabilities is P40,500,000.00, an amount she shocks the public. In 2013, it may be noted that Adeliza H. Magno-Gingoyon, Presiding Judge of the Fourth Judicial Region, Municipal Trial Court (MTC) of Bacoor, Cavite had issued two warrants of arrest against Delos Reyes involving 16 counts of estafa and 34 counts for violation of the Anti-Bouncing Check Law. Delos Reyes had posted P96,000 bail bond for her temporary liberty from jail.
