Loay lawyer vying for party-list seat

A labor lawyer who made his name in Manila is eyeing a seat in the party-list elections

under the name Mamamayan Tungo sa Maunlad na Pilipinas (MTM PHILS).

A newcomer in the party-list arena, lawyer Joseph Entero of the famous Entero clan of Tocdog, Loay town, has earned the bragging right as the only Boholano nominee of the hundreds of part-lists accredited by the Commission on Elections. A graduate of the University of the Phils.-College of Law, Entero is one of the three nominees of MTM Phils. In his campaign spiel yesterday during a press conference at the JJ’s Dimsum Restaurant, he said the party-List envisioned a nation that is united, a community of peace Loving constituents, respecting the true heritage and culture of every tribe, whether Christians, Muslims, Manobos, Tibolis, Kiangans, Karay-as, Sugbuhanons, Bol-anons, Tinggians, all of these different and various tribes and Filipinos and belong to one nation of different races, one ideals and one God, even how they may call or worship according to their beliefs. Mamamayan Tungo sa Maunlad na Pilipinas (MTM PHILS) Party-List strongly support the present Administration in its policies and transparency in governance towards "Landas na Matuwid" the straight road towards bringing about progress and unity of the Nation as ONE.

Our Mission:

To instill upon every Filipino their cultural heritage, their beginnings and how they have inter-acted with other tribes in the society towards cultural development and inter-marriages that brought every tribe to a common understanding of love and unity; To foster upon every Filipino the respect and love as a Filipino... a Maharlikans where every tribe came from that was radically changed by the inter-marriages with the foreigners, forgetting their own beginnings in a socially developed society.

Our Objectives:

The primary aims and objectives of the MTM PHILS Party-List Coalition are to establish lasting peace, unity in diversity among members of different tribes, ideologies and professions. Eliminate differences, minimize power struggle by inculcating into the minds of the members through indoctrination the importance of strong camaraderie, mutual understanding, communal undertakings through cooperative ventures and organizational development strategies. This MTM PHILS Party-List Coalition has been conceived, in view of the existence of strong competition between and among the different Filipinos in any communities. Organizations or even to some government instrumentalities and non-government entities, there are combination of members and workers coming from the different cultures and ideologies, where lack of understanding of their beginnings, sparks disunity and end up to disgruntled community. The Partylist is also concerned about the revival of the different cultures and practices of the people especially on the primitive leadership styles, such as the Sultanates, Rulership and Datuism. Although these types of leadership are existing in the different places and countries and ethnic communities, especially in the Middle East and European Countries, but in places or countries where Tribes are considered as minority has no strong clout as compared with the ancient period of its influence.

MTM Phils Program of Government:

MTM Phils - Partylist has formulated a concrete Program of Government to guide the party in pursuing, promoting and achieving its vision, mission, goals and objectives. Thus, the MTM Phils Partylist shall see to it that the following programs of government for the benefit not only for the MTM constituents, but the Filipino in general who belong to the marginalized sector of society.

To create and support livelihood programs that shall be supervised closely by the MTM volunteers, such livelihood programs that shall uplift the economic and social conditions of the marginalized tribes in the society; The livelihood program shall not be limited to providing financial assistance for a specific project, but shall include entrepreneurial trainings, market surveys and as well as assist in the marketing of the products produce by the members under its livelihood program;

To strongly support education as a legacy by every parent to a child, by assisting and providing educational scholarships to the marginalized members of the party who are deserving and qualified, but who are less fortunate enough to avail of a college education; To conduct entrepreneurial education in order that the scholars shall not be dependent on seeking employment after graduation, but would instead become entrepreneurs and job creators for the community;

To strongly support the health and nutrition program of government by providing educational trainings on hygiene and healthcare as prevention to ailments or illnesses that may happen for no healthcare knowledge at all. To instill upon the constituents that an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. An advocacy on healthcare that is well understood and sustainable because it is the party's belief that healthy constituents transform to a healthy community;

The primary aims and objectives of the party are to establish lasting peace, unity in diversity among members of different tribes, ideologies and professions. Eliminate tribal differences, minimize power struggle by inculcating into the minds of the members through indoctrination the importance of strong camaraderie, mutual understanding, communal undertakings through cooperative ventures and organizational development strategies.
