Christ is Risen! We have seen the Lord !
These are the edifying words of those who have experienced and witnessed the resurrection of Jesus. We too are privileged to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection as a Christian community with a firm hope and a steadfast love that God will not abandon us. During the mass, we acclaim after the consecration the “Mystery of Faith” and boldly proclaim, “Christ has died, Christ is Risen, Christ will come again!” This is the very core and nucleus of our faith.
It is said that Christians are “Easter People.” Amids the overriding political, moral, economic, religious and social upheavals that beset us, let us turn our gaze to Jesus, the Risen Christ by whose suffering and death we are healed and restored. Easter is always an opportunity for us to renew strengthen our hope in the Lord, a kind of hope that sustains and edifies our afflicted spirits to stand firm and proclaim our Faith in season and out of season.
As we continue journeying as a Church, together with our new Supreme Pontiff, let us have the courage, strength and uncompromising spiritual and moral rectitude. We fervently hope that with his moral and spiritual leadership as Christ’s Vicar on earth, the Church will continue to act as a transforming leaven and harbinger of truth, justice and love.
Happy Easter to one and all!
Devotedly in Christ,
