It was told that the time in which we now live is called, “this present sinful age.” We now live in a world that always lack balance, swinging from one craze to another. But have we learned what and when to follow one, and what and when to follow the other?
The range of good things we do and enjoy is so wide, it is possible to blend things into muddy grays and browns rather than maintaining their moral and proper order. Are we aware of what is going on, and do we act sensibly and carefully in view of that awareness. It has been said, “the person who is both shrewd and harmless will live a balanced life in those respects, neither veering to the right nor to the left.” What a person does now has lasting consequences.
Living in this world, for our advantage or disadvantage, at every point, is bound up with the one toward which we are living and moving. We don’t choose to love or hate, we are obligated to do both properly, under the right conditions. We should learn to retreat so that we may resist. Maintaining balance in this unbalanced world, is difficult but necessary. The delicate balance to be maintained is the balance that enables one to live an exciting, productive and right life.

Nonetheless, although respondent's entitlement to optional retirement pay is wanting and despite petitioner's non-obligation to mandatorily rehire him, the grant of financial assistance is in order as an equitable concession under the circumstances of the case.
Erratum: Instead of A/B T. Garan, the correct one is C/O T. Garan. Our apologies.
