T The Evangelical Body of Christ in Bohol has witnessed the historical milestone within the evangelical community in the province regarding the ordination of Rev. Dr. Victoriano B. Tirol Jr. into the office of the Evangelical Bishop. The ordination took place during the Bohol Thanksgiving Day celebration last December 29, 2012 at the Quadrangle, University of Bohol. After a thorough examination by the Ordination Council of the Confederation of Evangelical Ministries Association of Bohol Inc. (CEMABI), the Council has unanimously approved his ordination to the Office of Evangelical Bishop in Bohol. He is now rightly called and addressed by all the faithful Christians as Bishop. Rev. Bishop Victoriano B. Tirol Jr. is the first ordained Evangelical Bishop in Bohol duly recognized and approved by the whole evangelical community in the province and he is now tasked to shepherd the entire Evangelical Body of Christ in the province. The Ordination Council is headed by the most Reverend Bishop Joshua Gaco, the Spiritual Adviser of the Confederation of Evangelical Ministries Association of Bohol.

Bishop Victoriano B. Tirol Jr. is the son of Victoriano Degamo Tirol Sr. and Iluminada Quiñones Belarmino whose place of birth is the town of Buenavista, Bohol. The newly ordained Bishop is a graduate of Master of Arts in Theology, Doctor of Ministry and Doctor of Divinity. His secular education and scholastic achievement is highly remarkable. He is a bona fide member of the Philippine Bar and a practicing lawyer with two other Doctoral Degrees in Philosophy major in English and Education. He has also earned six masteral degrees. He is a retired Regional Director of the Department of Education. The revered Bishop is known to be a champion in the field of education. As an educator, he is the current president of the University of Bohol, the first university in the province, and a founding father of Cristal e- College in Panglao, Bohol. His commitment and dedication for the cause of the gospel and the kingdom of Christ is very commendable. He is presently supporting the education of Pastors, Church Workers, Children of Pastors and Orphans.

The new head of the evangelical community in Bohol was 2009 TOBAW (The Outstanding Boholano Around The World) Awardee. The ordination to the Office of Evangelical Bishop is a milestone among evangelical churches in the province. It is witnessed by over 400 pastors. Being the head and president of the Confederation of Evangelical Ministries in Bohol, the good bishop is tasked to shepherd the entire evangelical Body of Christ in the province. By the grace of God and with the help of hundreds of pastors working together, the cause of the gospel and God’s agenda for Bohol shall be advanced in greater measure under his watch. The Ordination Council is composed of Rev. Dr. Daniel S. Flor, Rev. Dr. Abinigo B. Gasco, Rev. Dr. Felito B. Pon, Rev. Dr. Rey Rodrigues and Rev. Bishop Joshua Gaco.
